Seminarian News
Mr. David De Luca, who has been with us during the past year as a seminarian will not be continuing in formation for the priesthood.  He wishes to express his thanks to everyone in the parish for their kindness and support.  We wish him the best as he moves forward.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Altar Server Awards
On May 13th, seven altar servers from our parish received the ‘Bishop’s Award for Service’ from the Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, OMI, bishop of Hamilton, during the 32nd Annual Altar Server Awards Ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King.
We offer our sincere thanks and congratulations to the following altar servers for the honour they received:
Victoria Nguyen
Mikolaj Koziol
Kerrick Pereira
Anish Fernandopulle
Adrian Novakov
Ana Novakov
Michael Wojcik

Each year, altar servers from parishes throughout the Brant, Halton and Hamilton Deaneries are selected for this special recognition in light of their dedication, sense of responsibility and display of leadership in the performance of their duties.  The parish is truly grateful to all of its altar servers for their participation at the celebration of the Eucharist and other liturgical functions throughout the Church year.  The Altar Servers Award Program is sponsored by the Serra Club of Hamilton, a long established organization in the Diocese whose purpose is to foster and promote vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life.

Prayer for Graduating Students
Father,  Help us to not look forward in fear
to the changes in life;
Rather, may we look to the future with full hope,
because as changes arise,
you will lead us safely through all things,
because we are your very own,
and when we cannot stand it,
You will carry us in Your arms.
With you, we shall not fear what may
happen tomorrow;
because you are the understanding Father
who cares for us today,
and who will care for us tomorrow and every day.
We have faith, O Lord,
That you will either shield us from suffering,
or give us unfailing strength to bear it.
Put us at peace,
and give us the grace
to put aside all anxious thoughts and images.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ,
Your Son, and Our Lord. Amen
