CWL Membership
An invitation is extended to all the women of Saint Matthew Parish to become a member of the Catholic Women’s League. If you find yourself drawn to the work the CWL does and want to support it, take out a yearly membership and keep it active, even if you can’t make meetings or other events. The more members we have, the stronger we will be. While your presence at meetings is important, we realize that in this busy world it may not always be possible for you to attend. Be assured that your prayers, interest and support are as important as your attendance! Yearly membership is $25.00 and includes the Canadian League magazine (published quarterly) and a reduced rate for CWL events. There will be a membership drive in the Narthex at the end of each mass on January 24, 25, 31 and February 1. Members of the CWL will be available to answer any questions.
Rosary Apostolate in the Schools Needs Volunteers
The Rosary Apostolate in the Schools is a wonderful way to foster a spirit of prayer in our children and inspire them to love God and Mary, by teaching them to pray the Rosary! Our volunteers pray the Rosary (or a part of it) with every student in their respective classrooms once a month from October to May.
At this time we are in serious need of new volunteers.
If you have a devotion to Our Mother Mary, and are willing to visit one of the parish schools to pray the Rosary with students once a month from October to May for about 2 hours per visit, we truly need your help.  Training will be provided.  Please contact Ellen Dean at edean45@outlook.com  or call (905) 469-6581.
